Travelling with the Cuckoo Train through the Elmstein Valley

A ride in the Cuckoo Train (Kuckucksbähnel), comprising an historic steam engine and several historic cars, makes it possible to feel how it was to travel in the past. The museum train starts right at the main station of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, its first section goes to Lambrecht following the double-track main line towards Kaiserslautern. The route leading through the Elmstein Valley starts at the junction just after Lambrecht. Its final stop is at the terminus Elmstein, following several stations and an impressive, varied scenic journey.

The historic "Kuckucksbähnel" steam train runs at fourteen day intervals beginning on Easter Sunday, always starting at the Neustadt main station. For schedules or group tour registration call +49 (0) 6321 30390, +49 (0) 173 946 1618 or visit www.eisenbahnmuseum-neustadt.de
